Airport Etiquette

Did you know that at airports there are generally seven rules of etiquette to follow when you arrive? It is also a surprise to me since I have only been to an airport three times in my whole life.  So lets begin with the seven different airport security rules.

#1 Make sure you don’t wear any clothing that contains any metal foil such as a fancy dress or else you may have to take it off before you go through the security screen, which can be embarrassing. Also make sure if you have coins, cell phones, medicine, batteries, and even money clips that you put it all in a separate bag with you. #2 Make sure your shoes do not have any metal or have really thick soles. Unfortunately these types of shoes can set of the alarm and shoes have their own specific search procedures that are performed.

#3 Make sure you never wrap any gifts before you board as the security personnel will have to unwrap the gift for security purposes. So just bring gift wrapping paper with you and wrap the gift after you get off the plane.

#4 Make sure you arrive an hour before your scheduled flight as you never know how long the lineups will be and you do not want to risk missing your flight.

#5 Make sure you do not bring anything that is prohibited such as lighters or Swiss army knives a little bit of common sense will have to be used for this.

#6 Make sure that you store anything that you have of value in your carry on luggage so that it is with you at all times. This can include laptops, digital cameras, jewelry and even cash.

#7 Make sure you tape your personal information or your business card to the bottom of your laptop or other valuables.
